Handsome builds handsome things. Beautiful objects, that also happen to be charcoal cooking systems. Our barbecues are edition models. We only produce 100 of each; a sculpture you can cook on which is stamped and numbered accordingly. It is our hope that every Handsome barbecue is used to make the produce you have beautiful, through the application of charcoal heat. The object itself is informed by the material language of Corten. It will change over time, making each barbecue a work in progress. This first edition Handsome barbecue is made from a single sheet of heavy gauge steel. Handsome uses a gas element to ignite the coal. This is a more efficient system that evenly heats a large bed of coals and won’t have the ‘fuel’ taste often associated with firelighters.
